Mercatus, a leading provider in digital solutions for grocery, announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors. The new appointees—Pete Bigley, Head of Enterprise Architecture at Adobe, and Frank Archibald, Partner at McMillan LLP—bring with them a wide range of pertinent industry experience, knowledge and expertise to help strengthen Mercatus’ already strong and vibrant leadership.
The Mercatus Board of Directors is comprised of a prestigious group of senior executives that provide expertise, insights and financial support to ensure the company’s products and services are effective and impactful. The new appointees will be joining Andrew Chang (chairman), Sylvain Perrier (Director) and Brigette Chang-Addorisio (Director), who have sat as members of the board since 2014.
Pete Bigley is Head of Enterprise Architecture at Adobe, and previously served as Vice President of IT Innovation and Planning at Safeway. He has more than 20 years’ leadership experience anticipating, architecting and delivering innovative, business-enabling solutions. He combines his deep grocery retail experience, strategic planning and cross-functional team leadership with strength in mobile, payments, loyalty, marketing and supply chain management.
Pete is also Chief Technology Officer at IDXP Analytics Inc., an innovator of in-store shopper behavior technology delivering real-time shelf analytics and actionable insights that drive sales, conversions and promotions effectiveness. The company is based in Palo Alto, California, and has customers in North America, Europe and South America.
Frank Archibald is a partner at McMillan LLP—a leading Canadian business law firm serving companies in Canada and the US. Frank’s practice focuses on advising clients on business matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and specialized shareholder and business structures. Frank also previously served as the chair of McMillan’s business law and private equity practice groups.
“I am pleased that both Pete and Frank have accepted this appointment. I know they will bring a wealth of expertise in their fields, and will be tremendous assets as the company continues to scale and further its mission of helping North American retailers stay competitive in today’s grocery landscape,” said Sylvain Perrier, Mercatus President and CEO.
