Predictive Tech Start-Up Endor Raises $5 Million in Seed Funding

Endor, a provider of predictive software for businesses, announced that it has managed to raise $5 million as seed funding towards its product development program.  The start-up based in Tel Aviv has done some ground-breaking work in predictive methodologies, conducted mostly at MIT’s Media Lab. The funding to Endor is a major event for the business intelligence industry, which will enable the start-up to deliver automated martech solutions based on customer behavior.

Endor, renowned in the predictive software industry for its cloud-based service – Social Physics, is expected to magnify their product innovation for marketing and sales automation. Originally coined by Professor Alex Pentland and Dr. Yaniv Altshuler, the word originated at MIT Media Lab. Endor extended the idea to use it as a proprietary technology, enabling users to make an accurate predictive analysis based on human behavior.

Endor’s predictive software platform allows business users ask any pertinent question, delivering them results in seconds. The in-house technology developed and refined by Endor stacks Social Physics method against the results of machine learning and other AI-based technologies. Predictive analytics done based on Social Physics shows higher accuracy and performance compared to AI/ML models.

To test the efficacy of its technology, Endor performed the following experiment on Twitter data

15 million Tweets’ meta-data were provided to Endor as raw data for analysis. In addition, the customer revealed the identity of 50 Twitter accounts known to belong to terror groups that were contained in the input data and tested Endor’s ability to detect an additional 74 accounts that were hidden within the data.

Endor’s engine completed the task on a single laptop in only 24 minutes (measured from the time the raw data was introduced into the system until the final results were available), identifying 80 Twitter accounts as “lookalikes” to the provided example, 45 of which (56%) turned out to be part of the list of the 74 hidden accounts. Importantly, this provided an extremely low false alarm rate (35 False Positive results), so that the customer could easily afford to have human experts investigate the identified targets.

Though it was a test done to arm Israeli intelligence with potent data, Endor’s Social Physics is a powerful predictive analytics tool to gain accurate customer visibility. Unmatched by any existing competing tool in martech, Endor’s offering scientifically derived results to show how mathematical patterns are embedded in every data.

By bringing Endor to make predictive analytics, businesses can use Big Data to automatically transforming any human behavior data into unified canonical form irrespective of the data size to produce accurate predictions and actionable signals.
