Absorbs Leading Chicago-Based Social Media Company

PowerPost announced that it acquired Social Media Beast, one of Chicago, Illinois’ premier content marketing agencies. The transaction will add nearly 100 clients to the PowerPost software platform and bolster its talent pool of brand journalists and content writers. Twenty employees from Social Media Beast will relocate to the PowerPost Chicago headquarters at One North State Street.

The acquisition marks PowerPost’s third such transaction in 18 months. The combined companies manage millions of customer relationships for leading brands such as Marriott, Ty, United Auto and Germ-X. PowerPost also features a unique studio newsroom of skilled journalists and social media experts. The marriage of brand journalists and innovative software provides a complete solution to modern brands.

The industry is taking notice of this powerful software which was recently featured at Techcrunch Disrupt and was identified as a leading marketing software solution in Inc.  As the Content Marketing Institute reports that 70% of marketers are planning to create more content in 2017, PowerPost believes modern brands are resonating with its end-to-end publishing solution.

Leadership transitioning from Social Media Beast to PowerPost include Trent Turpin, Vice President of Chicago Operations and Scott Fenstermaker who is being promoted to Vice President of Marketing.  PowerPost has plans to hire 5 to 10 more content producers this year to meet their client demand.
