Upland Joins Twilio Partner Program for Mobile Messaging Campaigns on Facebook Messenger

Via Twilio’s API integration, Upland will offer its Mobile Commons application to deliver automated campaigns via Facebook Messenger and SMS, seamlessly

Upland, a cloud-based Enterprise Work Management company, joined the Twilio Partner Program, to help clients deliver automated and personalized messaging campaigns on Facebook messenger platform, in addition to SMS.

“The traditional marketing database goes well beyond voice and email,” said Jed Alpert, SVP of Digital Engagement Solutions at Upland Software. “The ability for our customers to reach their audience through SMS, MMS, and now social platforms like Facebook Messenger, along with the robust personalization and automation of our Mobile Commons application, is a real game-changer.”

Upland will allow its Mobile Commons’ application customers to deliver messaging campaigns on Facebook Messenger and SMS, both, via Twilio’s cloud communication platform.  This is in addition to the out-of-the-box integrations that Mobile Commons has already built to connect with 3rd party CRM and reporting applications.

Mobile Commons is an enterprise-grade application for text messaging, acquired by Upland in 2014. It allows governments, non-profits, healthcare providers and commercial enterprises to drive automated and personalized SMS campaigns at scale.

Steve Mooney, Head of Alliances at Twilio, says, “In today’s world, it is critical for businesses to give customers choice by being present on all the channels where they communicate. Mobile Commons’ mobile messaging for Facebook Messenger will offer their customers expanded reach and personalization opportunities.”

Later this year, the early release of the Facebook Messenger functionality can be experienced by Platinum Success Plan Customers of Mobile Commons. It’s been close to a year since Twilio extended its Messaging API to support Facebook Messenger and Viber.

SMS campaigns on Mobile Commons have been the heart of ICF’s communications strategy. ICF is a global consulting and technology services provider with more than 5,000 professionals focused on making big things possible for our clients.   Tessa Heydinger, the Product Manager at ICF, informs, “Our organization targets a younger demographic where they spend most of their time, and Facebook Messenger through Mobile Commons will allow us to extend our reach and deepen engagement with this audience in a more effective way.”
