“SugarCRM has become the choice for the mavericks who are looking for a different CRM experience than what is being offered by the bloated, legacy CRM vendors. We call these forward-thinking change agents CRM heroes, and we look forward to celebrating these awards with them in a couple weeks at SugarCon, ” said Clint Oram, co-founder and CMO, SugarCRM.

The CRM Market Awards recognize key players in the CRM space that are best responding to the needs of their customers. Judged by a panel of industry analysts, the vendors are evaluated based on their company revenue and analyst ratings for depth of functionality, deployment costs, customer satisfaction and company direction.

Speaking to Martech Series, Oram had said,”Marketers actually overlook CRM itself as a primary tool! Often, they see it solely as a sales tool, when it can actually help them do their jobs better. CRM can, and should, be tightly integrated with top-of-funnel marketing tools like marketing automation and the website. Building on that, CRM is the starting place for segmenting your customer base for install base campaigns. Rather than just blindly running marketing campaigns to your entire database, segmenting your customers and prospects by size, geography and industry helps you be more strategic and efficient. For instance, you will want to run a financial services campaign in New York and a manufacturing campaign in Detroit. CRM helps you do that.”
