Reveal Mobile Releases New Audience Targeting and Sales Attribution Capabilities in Geofencing Platform

VISIT Local lets marketers link in-store sales to ad spend and target audiences based on frequency of visits.

Reveal Mobile, the location intelligence and geofencing marketing software company, announced the release of multiple new features to its geofencing platform.

The platform, designed to help marketers improve the impact of digital and offline campaigns and deliver a higher return on ad spend, now gives users the ability to create and activate audiences based on the number of times a mobile device has visited a specific location, such as a retailer, restaurant, auto dealership, or other commercial location.

“Targeting audiences based on visit frequency helps marketing acquire new customers who show flagging loyalty to their competitors,” said Andy Schrader, chief product officer at Reveal Mobile. “It enables marketers to build separate audiences for loyal and infrequent customers so they can message to them in a more relevant way. It also lets them exclude employees, further maximizing ad spend. Our customers have really become experts at growing market share by messaging to audiences who are most likely to convert. This new frequency feature makes that skill even more effective.”

As part of VISIT Local’s attribution reporting, the platform now includes estimated sales based on unique foot traffic conversions. Marketers can determine top line sales and return on ad spend, giving them greater insights into the value of campaigns.

Attribution reports in the platform are also archived indefinitely, so marketers can benchmark past performance against new ads and continuously improve the result they generate.

“VISIT Local enables marketers to prove the actual value of their paid media investments,” said Schrader. “Any time campaigns include an offline component – on the exposure or the conversion side of the equation – VISIT Local works alongside marketers to ensure they have the insights and campaign intelligence they need.”

These new features, which are available now to all VISIT Local customers, have been a primary driver in VISIT Local user growth. Reveal Mobile’s customer base for VISIT Local has grown 73 percent since the start of the year. Customers use the platform for campaign planning and measurement an average of 20 times per month.
