Whether you’re in the market for a new POS system, a great deal on a merchant account, or discounted accounting software, there’s a little something for everyone this year. And if this holiday season is anything like last year’s, you’re in for some real savings.

Accounting Software

If you’ve been thinking of switching accounting software or need a better program to manage your upcoming taxes, now might be a good time to make a move. Last year, Intuit QuickBooks offered up to 50% off their QuickBooks Online product. The discounted price lasted for the first six months of service. They also discounted QuickBooks Payroll. If you’ve been considering QuickBooks for your accounting, this could be the time to get this software for a steal.

Aplos is an accounting solution for non-profits accounting with ample features and incredibly positive customer reviews. This comprehensive web-based accounting software is ideal for non-profits and churches. The software has over 42,000 users from 20,000 different organizations. Aplos began in Belgium in 2009 and is now used in over 50 different countries, receiving strong customer reviews across the board. They were recently named one of Merchant Maverick’s Top 10 Accounting Programs for Nonprofits.

Merchant Accounts

E-commerce operators rely on merchant account systems to complete online credit card transactions. Most merchant accounts charge a specific rate per transaction, but there are a couple of subscription-based models that are offering discounts on their monthly rates and a few that are offering deals on hardware. Last year, CDGcommerce did an exclusive holiday deal for business owners to lock in a $5 service fee for life. They also offered a free Verifone terminal for 12 months.

Fattmerchant is also a subscription-based merchant account that is compatible with most major shopping carts. The company offers 24/7 free support and last year, Fattmerchant offered a 25% discount off of a year of membership.

Mobile Payments

During the holidays, accepting payments on the go with a tablet or smartphone is a must for many retailers. Luckily, there should be some excellent deals on mobile payment systems this season. Square is a big name in mobile payments processing — and for good reason. With ample features and a flat swipe rate, it’s easy to see why. During the 2017 holiday season, they offered a discount on their Contactless Chip Reader, and this year should bring an enticing offer as well.

 E-Commerce

Shopify is one of the big names in e-commerce — thanks to good pricing, strong features, and 24/7 customer support. Last holiday season, Shopify partnered with DHL Express to bring Shopify customers a $30 flat-rate shipping option. Shopify also offered holiday shipping rates with UPS. If you run an e-commerce store, you’ll want to keep an eye on these great holiday shipping deals.

Email Marketing Software

Let’s face it; if email marketing didn’t work, no one would do it. The holidays and beginning of the year are a great time to share discounts and deals with consumers. GetResponse is a well-respected email marketing program with years of experience and a feature set to prove it. The software is easy to use and affordable. Last year, GetResponse offered a 15% discount for GetResponse Enterprise.

Project Management

Project management solutions offer everything from task management to workflow management to scheduling to budgeting and more. But they all have one common denominator: They help you keep track of your projects. If you need help managing your business’ projects, especially the added holiday projects, now’s the time to start looking for a project management solution.

One solid solution is ProofHub, which offered a 41% discount on their Ultimate Control plan (normally a $150/mo value for $89/mo instead) last holiday season. If you use Xero, you may want to check out WorkflowMax, which offered a 25% discount off the first three months of service last season. WorkflowMax combines project management with a time tracking solution and an impressive number of integrations.

Time Tracking

Timepot is a competitively priced time tracking solution complete with reporting and planning features. Last year, they offered three months of free service to new users who signed up for a Timepot subscription. Visit them here to check for this year’s holiday offer.

Before you get carried away by all the holiday deals, let us share a word of advice. Do your research. Each business has its own unique challenges, especially during the holidays. So don’t buy a solution because you can, buy it because it’s the right solution for your business.
