GumGum Selected By Outbrain to Expand Advanced Contextual Analysis Insights and Brand Safety

GumGum, a contextual-first, global digital advertising platform, today announced a new partnership with Outbrain, a leading recommendation platform for the open web.

GumGum, a contextual-first, global digital advertising platform, announced a new partnership with Outbrain, a leading recommendation platform for the open web, to provide brands and advertisers expanded contextual and brand safety analysis across Outbrain’s global publisher partner base. While Outbrain’s existing contextual capabilities provide a range of advertising optimization tools, GumGum’s proprietary contextual intelligence platform, Verity™, will provide advertisers additional opportunities to reach audiences in brand safe, relevant environments and increase engagement across campaigns.

“We are excited to offer advertisers advanced contextual insights and brand safety across Outbrain’s extensive publisher network. Verity’s ability to analyze all the signals within a digital environment, including image, text, audio, and video, on a content-level allows advertisers to be more precise in where their ads are placed as well as allows publishers to unlock inventory that would otherwise be blocked,” said Hailey Denenberg, interim Head of Verity.

Verity, the first ad tech platform with content-level accreditation for contextual analysis, brand safety, and suitability from the Media Rating Council (MRC) across CTV, desktop, and mobile web environments, will work in tandem with Outbrain’s existing contextual suite to deliver marketers unique data as third-party cookies and user-based targeting continue to decline. Verity has over 600 content categories in relevant environments, ultimately increasing an advertiser’s reach and connection with consumers. Outbrain is a leading recommendation platform with a global footprint, partnering with publishers such as CNN, Sky News, and Axel Springer. Their platform serves over 10 billion daily recommendations and ads to over 1 billion consumers.

“As the advertising ecosystem shifts away from the use of third-party cookies, contextual platforms can provide a safeguard for advertisers looking to engage customers at scale in a privacy-safe way,” said Lior Charka, Vice President of Product, Outbrain. “After a thorough testing process, GumGum’s offering provided strong results in helping us extend our focus on consumer interest, intent, and action across video and image capabilities, enabling marketers to drive high levels of engagement with the audiences they want to reach.”

Verity is fully integrated across Outbrain’s global publisher ecosystem and supports 11 languages.
