Method Communications Launches Two New Specialist Groups and Expands San Francisco Leadership Team to Meet Growing Demand

New Social & Influencer and AEO specialist groups respond to changing media ecosystem and strong demand, while four key leadership additions amplify agency’s Bay Area capabilities

In response to unprecedented demand for its specialized expertise, Method Communications announced a significant expansion of its San Francisco operations with four key senior leadership hires and the launch of two new specialist groups. These initiatives continue the agency’s expansion of talent and capabilities – including 26 new hires so far in 2025 – reinforcing Method’s position as the go-to agency partner for challenger brands.

The growing senior leadership team in San Francisco includes Victoria Butler and Paul Day as Senior Vice Presidents, and Elliott Burr as Vice President. Owen Clark has joined the team as Executive Vice President of the new AEO and Integrated Content Specialist Group. The new Social & Influencer Specialist Group is led by Cassie Croissant, a New York-based Vice President.

Victoria Butler brings nearly 20 years of strategic communications experience, specializing in high-growth businesses and enterprise storytelling across workplace tech, B2B infrastructure, and AI sectors. Butler’s impressive client portfolio has included major brands such as Zoom, Canva, Calendly, LinkedIn, Gusto, ThoughtSpot, Confluent, and Optimizely.

Paul Day has 20 years of experience in communications and multi-stakeholder management spanning politics, academia, and technology. Day has supported communications strategies for top venture firms, including Lightspeed, Gradient, and G Squared, as well as major brands like Google and Informatica. He’s known for his hands-on leadership approach—from strategy to execution—driving high-impact results in competitive markets.

Elliott Burr comes to Method with more than 15 years of communications experience, which began in journalism as a reporter and photojournalist covering general assignment reporting, including crime, business, politics, and human interest stories in the Bay Area. His cross-industry expertise spans both agency and client-side communications at major companies, including ServiceMax (GE Digital), Juniper Networks, and eBay. As a high-tech communications specialist, Burr has helped develop narratives and strategic positioning around major industry inflection points from the mobile revolution to cloud computing to generative AI.

Two New Specialist Groups Meet Market Demand

“As we continue to adapt in a rapidly changing industry, we’ve created two new specialist groups that will strengthen our integrated approach, expand our expertise and enable us to respond more quickly to the moment,” said David Parkinson, Method co-founder and CEO.

The new Social & Influencer Specialist Group, led by Croissant, will integrate and accelerate the strategic methods required to ensure that clients and their executives are making full use of the expanding universe of social and new media platforms, as well as leveraging the increasingly powerful role of industry influencers.

Croissant joined Method earlier this year as Vice President of Digital Marketing. She brings a deep agency background managing multi-million-dollar client portfolios for major brands like Salesforce, TikTok, Samsung, and HBO. Based in New York, she has managed marketing programs across B2B, DTC, and B2C clients. She has led integrated campaigns spanning social media, content strategy, influencer marketing, paid advertising, public relations, and experiential programs.

The new AEO/GEO and Integrated Content Specialist Group, led by Clark, will focus on AI-search engine optimization as the set of tools and strategies to ensure and enhance the visibility of companies and brands now that traditional SEO is being disrupted. Clark’s group will also serve as a powerful nexus for integrating Method’s existing practices and capabilities to the full benefit of clients.

“Owen is a creative storyteller with an impressive background of more than 15 years of experience in producing impactful multichannel content for major brands and executives,” Parkinson said. “His expertise in developing strategic approaches to content creation and amplification, along with his proven ability to build new capabilities from the ground up and lead high-performing teams, perfectly aligns with our vision for this role.”

Clark also has deep experience in executive training, coaching industry leaders on their media presence, speaking performance and crisis-communication response, for executives at global companies including DreamWorks, Dropbox, Samsung, WhatsApp, and Toyota.
