Leading Open-Source Headless Content Management System Launches Strapi Cloud

Strapi, the leading open-source “headless” content management system (CMS), announced the release of Strapi Cloud, making it the only vendor on the market offering both a self-hosted and cloud version of the same CMS. Strapi Cloud is a fully managed and collaborative platform for building, deploying, and managing Strapi applications empowering developers to create omnichannel experiences faster without the hassle of managing servers and configuring or upgrading services as part of their composable architectures.

Strapi Cloud enables cross-functional teams to increase their content velocity without having to compromise on their customization needs and requirements. Strapi Cloud abstracts away the complexity of infrastructure management while keeping development workflow and extending the core capabilities of Strapi. Content managers can use Strapi Cloud to autonomously manage all types of content and benefit from a unique set of content collaboration, security, and compliance features.

“Strapi has always been committed to helping developers and teams create great digital experiences,” said Strapi CEO, Pierre Burgy. “With Strapi Cloud, we’re taking this to the next level with a fully managed and scalable option that offers the best of both worlds – the ease of use of a traditional SaaS offering, combined with the freedom and flexibility of open source.”

Strapi Cloud Pro and Team are the two plans available today and include a server, a database, a CDN, an email service, and generous asset storage and bandwidth limits, giving customers the ability to manage their content and applications securely and scale resources vertically as needed. The Team plan also includes an Audit Log feature for the Content Management System and support services to meet the requirements of larger organizations.

Over the next few months, additional CMS and cloud features, such as the ability to customize review workflows, domains and choose data center regions, will be offered.
