Searchspring Announces the Creation of Strategic Client Advisory Board

New Council Brings Together Prominent Ecommerce Tech Leaders Across Six Companies to Help Drive Searchspring’s Platform Direction and Product Roadmap

Searchspring, the leader in ecommerce site search and merchandising, announced the formation of a Client Advisory Board (CAB) that will help guide the company’s overall strategies and shape the future of product development.

The 9-member group is comprised of current Searchspring clients and ecommerce industry leaders across six companies, including Lime Lush Boutique, Pipette, Priority Tire, Rip Curl, Specialized, and VICI Collection. CAB will serve as Searchspring’s strategic advisor as the company continues on its mission to give ecommerce teams search and merchandising superpowers.

“The formation of the Client Advisory Board furthers our mission by ensuring our roadmap aligns with the search and merchandising needs of our clients in this rapidly growing ecommerce landscape,” said Searchspring CEO Peter Messana. “Searchspring is fortunate to have a group of forward-thinking experts serving as advisors and guiding peer-led discussions to identify opportunities in real time and propel us forward.”

Clients remain at the heart of each and every one of Searchspring’s product development decisions. In addition to the creation of CAB, Searchspring recently launched The Idea Portala place where customers can offer feedback and influence product roadmap by submitting new ideas and providing input on features most important and valuable to their business.

The pandemic has dramatically accelerated digital transformation, with the ecommerce landscape vaulting forward 10 years in just 90 days. As the retail world continues to prepare for the new digital upheaval, the formation of the new consulting group comes at a time where unlocking merchandising capabilities to drive ecommerce monetization matters most.

Searchspring will continue to aggressively expand the company’s functionality by investing in the highly opportune ecommerce market—providing automation and control to overburdened merchandising teams. This year, Searchspring has more than tripled its engineering and product team and has committed millions in product development over 2021. In addition, Searchspring is dedicated to rapidly releasing new products, operating on Basecamp’s Shape Up methodology to launch new updates every 6 weeks. This Client Advisory Board will be critical in driving the strategy behind these frequent releases.

“At Lime Lush Boutique, we believe a great customer experience should be personal, engaging, and easy,” said Lime Lush Boutique Head of Product & Program Management Erik Sheehan. “We do that by providing our customers with a great selection of unique, affordable products through a customer centric approach to shopping online. We’re thrilled to be joining a group of diverse ecommerce peers who see the same opportunity to engage through the digital channel. We also value partners, like Searchspring, who share the same vision, listen to their clients, and collaborate with us to achieve those goals. This advisory board shows the type of partner Searchspring is and that is the type of company Lime Lush Boutique looks to align ourselves with.”

The advisors will work in tandem with Searchspring’s leadership team to identify areas of growth, product roadmapping and play a key role in identifying the needs and wants of ecommerce clients across the industry. In addition to guiding strategies, members of the Client Advisory Board will receive early access to new releases, provide feedback with product previews and direction for upcoming initiatives. Board members will serve one-year terms and meet quarterly with company leadership.
