Murf AI Concludes a First-of-its-Kind 30-Day Developer Challenge on Building AI Voice Agents

NxGenComm Announces Phoenix Engine: Breakthrough Autonomous Battlefield AI with Intent-Based Execution for Operations

Murf AI, a leading provider of ethical, enterprise-grade AI voice solutions, last week concluded its successful “30 Days of AI Voice Agents Challenge,” a community-driven initiative that brought together more than 400 developers who collectively designed and launched over 150 AI voice agents in a single day, utilizing Murf AI’s real-time voice API.

“The 30-day Voice Agent Challenge was our way of making the process accessible and showing developers how Murf AI can be the AI voice platform of choice for their projects.”

AI agents, and voice agents in particular, are gaining rapid traction globally. Applications are emerging across diverse use cases, including customer service and support, voice-enabled assistants, sales and lead generation, restaurant reservations, and more. Despite the curiosity surrounding voice-led experiences, few developers truly understand the process of building them from scratch.

“The 30-day Voice Agent Challenge was our way of making the process accessible and showing developers how Murf AI can be the AI voice platform of choice for their projects,” said Ankur Edkie, Co-founder & CEO of Murf AI.

Unlike traditional online courses that rely heavily on lectures or theory, the challenge emphasized hands-on creation. Each day, developers received small, practical building tasks via Murf AI’s Discord community, enabling them to make steady progress. Participants publicly shared their work using the hashtag #BuildwithMurf, which turned the experience into a collaborative, peer-driven movement.

Edkie added, “The momentum around AI voice agents is strong globally, and we wanted to fuel this excitement within India’s thriving tech community. This initiative aimed to inspire developers to explore the possibilities of this emerging technology. In just 30 days, developers went from curious learners to building functioning AI voice agents.”

Key features of the challenge included:

  • Daily, bite-sized tasks that lowered the barrier to entry and kept momentum strong.
  • Public progress updates that built accountability and encouraged community support.
  • Peer-to-peer problem-solving, with volunteer “Community Champs” and fellow developers offering help in real time.
  • Organic growth, as word of the challenge spread through participants rather than top-down promotion.

Following the success of the initiative, Murf AI plans to continue supporting developers with practical resources and opportunities to take prototypes into production.

“This challenge showed us the power of community-driven innovation,” added Edkie. “We’re excited to build on this momentum and make it even easier for developers to bring their ideas to life. Our vision is to grow Murf’s Discord community into the largest hub for builders in the voice agent space, and we’re committed to sharing knowledge, offering practical tips, or hosting hackathons, to empower and inspire developers.”
