Simon-Kucher & Partners Advises Uber on Development of Uber Rewards

Global strategy and marketing consulting firm Simon-Kucher & Partners collaborated with Uber in developing the recently launched Uber Rewards program.

Uber Rewards allows Uber customers to earn points when they use Uber. Points earned via Uber Rewards allow customers to gain status to one of four membership tiers, unlocking benefits along the way including price consistency, priority pick-ups at airports, higher rated drivers, and complimentary upgrades.

“Uber Rewards will help Uber invest in its customers,” said Madhavan Ramanujam, Partner and Board Member at Simon-Kucher & Partners. Among other things, Simon-Kucher & Partners worked with Uber to understand what parts of the Uber experience their customers’ value and define how Uber customers earn status.

“Simon-Kucher was a great partner during our research phase,” said Barney Harford, Uber COO. “We appreciated their support, expertise and partnership throughout the process of developing Uber Rewards.”

Uber Rewards is currently active in over a dozen US cities and will be rolling out to all US riders over the next few months.
