Emily Rakowski Joins ORO Labs as Chief Marketing Officer

25-year industry veteran and former SAP Ariba executive to lead ORO’s global marketing initiatives

ORO Labs, creator of a market-leading no-code procurement orchestration platform, announced Emily Rakowski has joined the company as chief marketing officer. In this role, Rakowski will oversee the planning, development and execution of all of ORO Labs’ global marketing initiatives, including brand-building and awareness, demand generation, communications, and PR.

“The ORO team is incredibly talented and has developed a market-leading solution that truly transforms the procurement experience for all users. I’m delighted to kick off this new chapter and help build a new and important market category while driving growth, transformation, and humanizing procurement for everyone.”

Rakowski brings more than 25 years of experience in sourcing and procurement technology to ORO Labs. She has held multiple roles leading global marketing and demand management, including serving as global vice president of audience marketing and demand management at SAP Ariba.

“Emily is one of the most exciting people we could add to the ORO team. She is an accomplished marketing leader, who is passionate about procurement and keenly aware of the challenges global organizations face with digital transformation,” said Sudhir Bhojwani, ORO Labs co-founder and CEO. “I couldn’t be happier that she is now bringing her tremendous experience to ORO in pursuit of our shared vision: making procurement awesome for everyone.”

Rakowski holds an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Stanford University.

“Procurement orchestration is a game-changing opportunity for procurement and supply chain leaders, but achieving its full potential goes well beyond traditional marketing. Emily’s track record of creating and evangelizing new markets – exemplified by her work in sustainability – is a potent differentiator as we define and grow this transformational new category. I’m thrilled to be working with her again,” said Lalitha Rajagopalan, ORO Labs co-founder.

The addition of Rakowski builds on a series of recent milestones for ORO Labs. The certification underscores ORO Labs’ commitment to rigorous governance, including stringent data privacy and security policies.

“This is a ‘coming home’ of sorts as I rejoin my brilliant colleagues and fellow procurement geeks Sudhir, Lalitha, and Yuan on their quest to solve long-standing procurement challenges and make the experience awesome for all,” said Rakowski. “The ORO team is incredibly talented and has developed a market-leading solution that truly transforms the procurement experience for all users. I’m delighted to kick off this new chapter and help build a new and important market category while driving growth, transformation, and humanizing procurement for everyone.”
