HdL Companies (HdL), a leader in economic development for public agencies, announces our recent partnership with Yiftee, an eGift Card service provider whose slogan is Keep local dollars local. This collaboration has already proven successful in helping small businesses and communities recover from the pandemic by generating additional revenue with ‘Shop Local’ campaigns.

HdL works closely with small businesses on business licenses, compliance, regulation, economic development and more. With the onset of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), HdL also assists agencies with creative responses to meet their local needs while securing valuable funding for small businesses in their community.

“We are honored to partner with HdL given their highly respected position with local governments in California and across the country and their expertise in economic development. Together, we are making a big impact helping cities support their small businesses with COVID-19 recovery and beyond”

“Running digital gift card grant or bonus programs can multiply ARPA dollars with consumer purchases by incentivizing in-person visits, promoting new shops or eateries, and engaging the community. Typically, consumers spend more than the card value and develop new habits of shopping, building on the ‘Shop Local’ movement. This partnership plays an essential role in rebuilding communities,” says Barry Foster, Principal and Managing Director of HdL’s ECONSolutions Team.

Yiftee and HdL are already working together in many cities including Canyon Lake, Hawthorne, Hercules, Lafayette, Oakley, Pinole and San Leandro, so a formal partnership was an obvious next step to build upon that momentum.

“We are honored to partner with HdL given their highly respected position with local governments in California and across the country and their expertise in economic development. Together, we are making a big impact helping cities support their small businesses with COVID-19 recovery and beyond,” reports Donna Novitsky, CEO of Yiftee.
