SocketLabs Names New Chief Revenue Officer to Drive Next Wave of Growth in Email Delivery Market

SocketLabs, an industry-leading provider of highly scalable email delivery solutions that drive customer engagement and growth, is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Hontz as Chief Revenue Officer.

Keith Hontz, top performer over two decades with SAP, joins @socketlabs as its first chief revenue officer to drive next wave of growth in email delivery market

Hontz joins SocketLabs from SAP America, Inc., where he was Global Vice President of SAP Industries. With over two decades of experience as a top performer in roles spanning sales, business development, product management, presales and consulting, Hontz brings an extensive background in customer experience solutions and engaging with enterprise and mid-market accounts. Most recently at SAP, he served as an executive advisor to tech start-ups at the SAP.iO Foundry in New York City, imparting his enterprise selling experience and entrepreneurial spirit.

As a dynamic software executive with a proven track record of success, Hontz is excited to introduce SocketLabs’ unique communication technology to an expansive network of enterprises, integration partners and ISVs. He will be overseeing the revenue engine for SocketLabs, including new customer acquisition, sales functions and strategic partnerships, – and helping to define the company’s go-to-market strategy. Hontz will also bring a new focus to key industries driving value for line-of-business executives across IT, Marketing, Sales, Service, Commerce, HR, Operations and Procurement as well as support for leading CRM vendors and application developers.

“Keith’s track record of sales success is hard to match,” said John Alessi, SocketLabs Founder and President. “We are excited to welcome a leader of his caliber to our team and look forward to expanding our business under his guidance as our first Chief Revenue Officer.”

Founded in 2007, SocketLabs has been helping organizations around the globe, across multiple industries, deliver billions of critical emails to their prospects, customers, clients and members. The company’s founders are email software specialists who began with a vision of providing the most advanced and specialized email delivery technology in a ubiquitous, cloud-based solution.

Today, SocketLabs powers email delivery for some of the world’s leading brands such as ADP, Advocare, Aston Martin, APSIS, Cisco, Customer Thermometer, Deluxe, Diebold, Honeywell, IBM, MaritzCX, Ohio State University, Panera Bread, Penn State University, ProntoForms, ReMax, Siemens, TeamSupport and Warner Brothers. “We see great growth potential in SocketLabs, in part because the company’s technology has already generated broad adoption and a long track record of customer success with very minimal outbound sales efforts,” said Lenfest. “Keith will be an extraordinary addition to our team as we embark on our next wave of growth with world-class companies across the globe.”

“I look forward to my new role at SocketLabs, leveraging my background in enterprise software and customer experience to drive our business forward. SocketLabs is an innovative tech company with a winning team that’s poised for massive growth,” said Hontz. “The business impact of email continues to grow as a vital communication channel for enabling customer engagement, yet over 20 percent of commercial email worldwide fails to reach the intended recipient’s inbox, either getting diverted to spam folders or blocked altogether. It’s a professional privilege to support SocketLabs’ vision of helping our clients break through these barriers and enabling successful email communications that matter most for their business. Our future ahead is bright and I’m looking forward to growing the business together with our customers.”
