Accenture Promotes 1,030 New Managing Directors and Appoints 143 New Senior Managing Directors

Company reports progress against its 2025 goals to achieve 30% women managing directors globally and increases race and ethnicity representation of managing directors in the US, the UK and South Africa

Accenture announced the promotion of 1,030 people to managing director and the appointment by the Chair and CEO of 143 people to senior managing director, including a record number of women. The company also reported its progress on increasing gender representation globally as well as race and ethnicity representation in the US, the UK and South Africa at the managing director and senior managing director levels.

A record 383 of all promotions to managing director are women, representing 37% of all promotions. Additionally, a record 35 of all senior managing director appointments are women, representing 24% of all appointments.

Overall, the number of women managing directors increased to 27% from 25% in 2020, demonstrating continued momentum towards the company’s goal of 30% women managing directors globally by 2025.
