H Code Appoints Former mitú Creative Lead as Head of Content to Spearhead Growth for H Code Studio

H Code, the largest Hispanic digital media company in the U.S, announces the appointment of former mitú creative lead Annie Leal as Head of Content. In her new role, Leal will lead execution on H Code’s editorial and branded content initiatives further scaling the company’s reach. Working under Chief Operating Officer Jennifer White, Leal will drive the expansion of H Code Studio’s offerings on new platforms and formats to provide brands with more creative solutions for reaching multicultural audiences. Leal will also serve as part of HipLatina’s editorial content leadership, evangelizing and driving H Code’s owned and operated endeavors.

Leal brings extensive experience in creating content for the Hispanic audience across different platforms in ways that are engaging, entertaining, emotional, and educational. In her former role as Head of Content at mitú, Leal oversaw the editorial, social, creative, and production teams. She was instrumental in the creation of the brand’s voice, growing its audience and finding solutions and products for other brands to be a part of. This included spearheading the creation of valuable IP that brands wanted to buy. She developed innovative projects such as the creation of several Snapchat Discover channels, animation, e-commerce, and more. She also was part of the team which created FIERCE, mitú’s platform for producing content from a Latina point-of-view.

Leal will be instrumental in developing new platforms for brands to reach their intended multicultural audience through H Code Studio. Throughout the last three years, H Code Studio has successfully delivered authentic, engaging, and relevant experiences that meet and exceed the needs of both brands and their target multicultural audiences. Thanks to H Code’s deep audience analytics collected through its Intelligence Center, the company’s content studio has seen unprecedented growth working with leading brands like Volvo and TurboTax to educate and empower Hispanic audiences through impactful and culturally relevant digital narratives. Under H Code Studio, Leal will lead the development of a new innovation lab that will build exciting cross-platform programs intended to reach multicultural audiences at scale.
