BloomReach Community Celebrates Experience Era at Inaugural West Coast Community Conference

300 Attendees at brConnect SF Took in Keynotes from Hilton, Staples, Disney, Capital One and Others

BloomReach, Inc., the Digital Experience Platform company, explored the immense impact of the Experience Era at its first West Coast Community Conference on October 11. Some 300 members of the BloomReach community were in attendance at the sold-out brConnect SF. They represented over 70 companies who use or are partnered with BloomReach.

“The Experience Era”, BloomReach CEO Raj De Datta said in his keynote, “is fundamentally different from what came before. Indeed, the Experience Era requires putting your whole business online. That in turn drives the need for a new kind of core platform, an experience platform. And since every experience today is a digital experience, the Experience Era requires a Digital Experience Platform. That’s why we’re all here today and why BloomReach is the DXP company.”

De Datta also described who BloomReach loves: Chief Digital Officers and other digital business builders, Digital Merchandisers, Content Marketers, and Developers. He went on to announce that the name of the BloomReach DXP is now brXperience, or BRX for short.

brAwards go to four leading companies

Experience Era success was personified by the brAward winners:

  • The SPA Superiority Award went to Paige Denim, an LA-based premium clothing brand obsessed with the details of fit, fabric and experience. Paige wasn’t about to settle for a cookie-cutter shopping experience for their customers. Instead, they seized an opportunity to cater to them via a Single Page Application, or SPA. Indeed, their new brXperience-powered brand and shopping site at paige.com is entirely a SPA. With it, they are delivering a streamlined experience for their customers, plus are positioned to surround their exceptional apparel with video and other rich content. In short, Paige Denim is a trend setter in both jeans and digital experience, and a worthy winner of the SSA, the SPA Superiority Award.
  • The Outstanding Implementation Award went to Cengage Learning. Their rather unique business recently went through major disruption, giving them just a few weeks to overhaul the digital experience they provide, all in support of a radically new business model. Fortunately, using brXperience they were able to deliver a new and highly personalized digital experience for their new subscription-based model, in two months! The OIA is theirs.
  • The Search-n-Merch Award went to Uncommon Goods, the source of uncommon gifts and other treasured items, all embodying remarkable design from independent makers. Uncommon Goods marries up those unique items with the uniquely powerful search and merchandising capabilities of brXperience, making them a worthy winner of the SMA.

  • The Top Experience Award went to the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. From California’s Great America to Canada’s Wonderland to Knott’s Berry Farm to eight other rollicking parks, Cedar Fair delivers top experiences to kids of all ages. The key to their digital transformation was the guiding principle that Context is King, all starting with the guest, where she is, what she’s interested in, how she likes to play. From there, Cedar Fair used brXperience to rapidly and extensively offer a personalized experience to their 26 million guests, on their laptops before they come to a park and especially on their phones when in the park. In short, they offer a top experience in the most thrilling of venues, at scale and highly personalized, making them a worthy winner of the TXA.

Community Endorsement

The 300 attendees at brConnect SF heard from innovative BloomReach customers including Hilton, Staples, Disney, Capital One, Lion Capital, Lumens and Tailored Brands (Men’s Wearhouse and Joseph A. Bank). They shared their experiences in digital merchandising, content marketing and digital experience development.

Jeff Romero, Digital Marketing and SEO manager at Lumens, may have spoken for all presenters when he said. “BloomReach just really works, not only to bring new customers in the door but also to retain your existing customers.”

brConnect Amsterdam is on November 15

Members of the BloomReach community who couldn’t make it to San Francisco last week are invited to come to the Netherlands on November 15 for brConnect Amsterdam.
