Pinger Named to Fortune’s Best Workplaces in the Bay Area List

Pinger Inc., the maker of the leading communications apps TextFree, Sideline and Sideline Pro, has been named one of Fortune magazine’s Best Workplaces in the Bay Area in 2022.

The Best Workplaces award is based on the findings of Great Place to Work (GPTW), a global authority on workplace culture. Virtually all Pinger employees who answered the survey gave the company the highest ratings for its workplace culture and employee experience.

“As employee demands and expectations have dramatically changed over the past year, these companies have risen to the occasion—and it’s not been easy”

“We created the blueprint for the culture we wanted the day the company was founded 17 years ago. This recognition from Fortune confirms that you can build the culture you want if you have a vision and put in the work to create it,” said Greg Woock, co-founder and CEO of Pinger. “I want to thank our employees for fostering our cooperative, accountable, and fun environment while providing excellent products and services to our customers. Our respectful culture is the heart of our company.”

Pinger earned an average rating of 97% across all the employee-experience questions, including whether management was approachable, whether employees were given the resources to do their jobs, and whether employees were treated fairly. Fully 100 percent of respondents rated the company a “great place to work.”

Employee participation in the Great Place to Work survey was voluntary, and responses were confidential. Companies were only considered for this award if they are Great Place to Work-Certified™ and headquartered in the Bay Area.

“As employee demands and expectations have dramatically changed over the past year, these companies have risen to the occasion—and it’s not been easy,” says Kim Peters, executive vice president of global recognition, research & strategic partnerships at Great Place to Work. “Their hard work and dedication to listen to and care for the well-being of every employee, and support them in a way that’s meaningful to all, is the standard all organizations will be held to.”
