Adverttu Appoints Annamaria Hajas as Head of Growth & Marketing

Company accelerates performance marketing initiatives and closes in on 40,000 drivers

Adverttu, the adtech company bringing out of home advertising into the digital age, has named Annamaria Hajas as its new Head of Growth & Marketing.

Annamaria will lead Adverttu’s performance and brand marketing strategy and grow the company’s user base using its own on-car advertising and digital solutions. This includes Adverttu’s shadowfencing offering, which allows advertisers to send complementary digital messages to anyone a branded car passes.

Annamaria joins Adverttu from Yolt, the smart money platform behind the award-winning Yolt app. Annamaria’s experience includes hyper-growth technology startups and established media agencies like MediaCom, Artefact, Geckoboard and GVC Group as well as time at employee benefits company, Perkbox.

Annamaria Hajas, Head of Growth & Marketing of Adverttu, said: “Adverttu’s culture is what any performance marketer dreams of – the freedom to experiment, impressive traction and the scope to scale rapidly. I am excited to join the team and get stuck in. Adverttu has an engaged, passionate driver community and these brand advocates are the perfect foundation for us to springboard from.”

Critical to Adverttu’s success is its newly expanded digital solutions, in particular, Shadowfencing, which lets advertisers deliver complementary ads to mobile devices once a branded vehicle has passed by them. This true one-to-one ad messaging, all in real-time with relevant retargeting, is a UK and European first.

Adverttu’s other digital advertising offerings include offline to online attribution so retailers can measure uplifts in shopper footfall, enhanced retargeting and optimisation capabilities, hyper local geofencing for ‘right place, right time’ contextual advertising, and on-demand swarming events, as recently utilised by Meatless Farm for its vegan drive-thru.

Artjom Jekimtsev, CEO and founder of Adverttu, said: “Businesses and brands are desperate to run out of home advertising in the same way as other performance marketing channels. Before Adverttu arrived on the scene, this wasn’t possible. Annamaria is a talented marketer and her diverse expertise is exactly what we need in our team. Our drivers come from all walks of life and it will be exciting to see this rich community grow as we introduce more people to the passive income possible with Adverttu.”

Annamaria’s arrival is the latest in a series of Adverttu appointments. Recently, the company added Uber’s ex-growth lead and Clear Channel’s COO to its advisory board.
