JoyPac Launches Hyperfuel - a ‘Virtual’ Accelerator Program for Hypercasual Games

Publishers accepted into the Hyperfuel program will receive mentoring, hand-on design help from initial concepts through to the finished game, with JoyPac acting as global publisher ready to back chosen developers with a significant UA spend

Games publisher JoyPac has launched HyperFuel – its new accelerator-style program to help developers and publishers with great ideas for hypercasual mobile games turn them into reality. Developers selected to join will be given funding to help them through the prototyping and development state, plus hands-on support from JoyPac’s experienced team. Applications to join the programme can be made via https://joypacgames.com/hyperfuel, with those accepted into the accelerator given hands-on guidance through the whole development process, with JoyPac publishing the finished hyper-casual games.

JoyPac is also committing to the full UA cost of launching the finished games – with a seven-figure marketing budget available for those that show real potential.

JoyPac has already built a strong reputation for helping the creators of casual and hypercasual games localise and launch in complex and highly competitive markets such as Japan, China and South Korea, generating more than 90 million downloads for its partners. With a desire to focus more on global game launches, JoyPac sees HyperFuel as a major component of its business going forward.

“The idea behind HyperFuel is to replicate the kind of hands-on input and access to resources that accelerators are so good at, but tailor it specifically to the needs of hyper-casual game developers working remotely around the world – which is why we’ve called it a ‘virtual’ accelerator,” said Falko Böcker, Senior Publishing Manager at JoyPac. “Hyper-Casual games require a very different set of skills from a publisher, with much more emphasis on rapid iteration and ‘failing fast’, rather than approaching publishers only once a game is almost finished. We want to show that we are one of the top publishing partners for hyper-casual developers to work with.”

JoyPac has committed to funding a minimum of three months of development time to allow plenty of time for prototyping and testing using JoyPac’s real-world data taken from almost 50 app launches to date. Games that make it to market will be published under the JoyPac brand and supported by its experienced team of UA specialists, localization coordinators and app store relations managers.

The Hyperfuel program is open to any developer with some prior experience of creating hypercasual games, who can demonstrate original and unique ideas with a creative spark, and who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal applicant will already have experience of developing and publishing mobile games.
