Autopilot Introduces World-First Collaboration Software, Annotate and Collaborate, Bringing Google Docs-Like Experience to Marketing Teams

Teams at Typeform and Microsoft Have Seen Dramatic Improvements in Collaboration and Communication During Beta Period

Autopilot, the marketing automation software company, announced the launch of a world-first collaboration feature, Annotate and Collaborate. The feature enables marketing teams to collaborate just as they would in Google Docs to design multi-channel customer journeys.

Annotate and Collaborate provides additional functionality to Autopilot’s visual canvas.  Teams across organizations can now work on customer journeys in real time and give context and feedback on each journey by using annotations, text, stickers, images and emojis.

“Innovation like Annotate and Collaborate is why our team loves and recommends Autopilot. Now our whole team can share their best ideas and work together on the same page. It’s a true differentiator in marketing automation,” says Chanse Arrington, Senior Marketing Manager at Microsoft.

Suzie Docherty, Email Marketing Manager at Typeform says Annotate and Collaborate has made a huge difference for their team.

“We don’t know what we’d do without it. The real bonus for us is that nothing’s falling between the cracks—being able to brainstorm and suggest optimization right there on the journey itself is a game-changer.”

The modern workplace is moving towards a collaborative and cross-functional environment with remote teams working across different time zones. The rise of a collaborative work culture has seen the introduction and rapid adoption of hardware like the Microsoft Surface and software like Slack, Google Docs and Dropbox.

Michael Sharkey, Co-Founder and CEO of Autopilot believes the future of marketing is collaborative.

“Delivering a remarkable customer experience starts with teams across the entire organization collaborating to design personalized customer journeys. Marketers are already using Slack to share ideas, Google Docs to create content and Dropbox to upload files. However, when it comes to marketing automation, up until now, applications have restricted collaboration and the facilitation of creativity,” says Michael.

In a survey conducted by talent management tool, ClearCompany, 39 percent of employees revealed that people in their own organization don’t collaborate enough. The survey also found that a lack of alignment between teams greatly impacts the outcome of a task or project.

Annotate and Collaborate provide a solution by delivering Google Docs-like collaboration to a visual canvas where marketers can work together, from anywhere in the world, to design, ship and contextualize the perfect customer journey in minutes.

Annotate and Collaborate allows users to:

  • Collaborate with their team members in real-time;
  • Visualize ideas and bring context to journeys; and
  • Share their best work with their organization or the marketing community.

Autopilot has also launched a new Templates Library, enabling marketers to access best industry practices and implement strategies utilized by top companies around the world.
