Centralize Data Security and Access Control across Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform

Ionic Data Trust Services for Cloud Storage Now Support Top Three Cloud Service Providers

Ionic Security, a pioneer in data trust, announced that Ionic Data Trust Services for Cloud Storage has expanded to include coverage for Microsoft Azure Blob Storage. Originally launched in July, 2018 with coverage for AWS S3 and GCS, Ionic machine-scale key management, encryption, policy orchestration, and visibility across the three major cloud service providers (CSPs) now covers more than 90% of the forecasted market.

In the race to adopt cloud services, enterprises find themselves struggling with complex multi-cloud or hybrid architectures that scatter the same sensitive data across multiple clouds and on-premises locations. Each of these storage locations represents a silo with custom implementations to protect data and control access. Handling of data is not consistent across these silos, and visibility is fractured.

Ionic Data Trust Services for Cloud Storage offers essential data security capabilities across multi-cloud, hybrid, and on-premises architectures. This single platform approach leverages Ionic machine-scale key management and abstracts policy management to a single service layer, easily integrated into existing code using an SDK connector.

“Portable, pervasive data protection helps security leaders optimize public cloud investments with confidence,” said Bill LeBlanc, vice president of integrations and enablement at Ionic Security. “It improves the productivity of development teams, who no longer need to manually build key management and custom access rules into their applications. Security and risk leaders can centralize the management of policy and reporting to ensure compliance with today’s changing regulations.”

New features for the AWS S3 and GCS Ionic connectors were announced last month, and Azure Blob Storage is now available in preview, with general availability expected in Q2.

The Ionic platform simplifies data protection with superior and consistent key management, just-in-time dynamic policy, and full analytics around every interaction with the data.
