UWL Introduces WorldScope: Intuitive Supply Chain Data Management

Bringing shippers clarity around what matters most throughout a shipment’s lifecycle

UWL, a top 25 American-owned NVOCC and leading provider of Global 3PL services, launches WorldScope, a propriety supply chain data management platform built upon industry-leading logistics software, CargoWise. WorldScope gives shippers an upgraded, easy-to-use platform for accessing real-time shipment data that can be uniquely tailored to business requirements.

Customers now have the ability to create customized alerts for managing by exception, visual mapping of GPS-enabled vessel tracking, and the ability to see all container activity on a single dashboard – even for shippers with multi-vendor supply chain programs.

WorldScope provides customers clarity and confidence around what matters most to them throughout a shipment’s lifecycle.

“From the very start, we designed WorldScope with our customers’ needs in mind,” said Duncan Wright, President of UWL, “We made user experience our top priority.”

Wright, who has 25 years of technology, carrier and forwarding experience, partnered with software firm, Steele Consulting Inc., to re-imagine the shipper’s experience when using tech platforms provided by global freight forwarders.

“Having real-time vessel tracking capabilities outside of ocean carrier data is more critical than ever these days, as Coronavirus has already and will continue to impact the human data entry side of carrier EDI events,” Wright explained.

“Many global forwarders today have systems built with legacy platforms as their foundation, making functionality cumbersome and customization limited. At UWL, we can rapidly build customer interfaces off of our core system,” Wright remarked, “Gone are the days of you ‘need to fit in our box’ in terms of interfaces, reports and exception management.”

Most systems today provide an exception management feature, but few allow customers to control threshold levels of their unique exception requirements. WorldScope brings managing by exception to life through an intuitive “My Alerts” dashboard that makes it easy to see which shipments and/or containers have fallen out of the expected range.

VP of Information Technology at UWL, Dan Ambroziak, said, “Our interface allows for a huge degree of customization, even down to each specific user within an organization. This means customized reporting and exception management, tagging hot shipments to watch, drilling-down into key documentation, creating custom filters and receiving only the notifications and alerts that matter most to you and your team.”

Each customer is assigned their own super admin user, keeping authority permissions in-house and maintaining control over who gets what data.
