Future plc Invests in Experiential Marketing Services with New VP of Experiential

Industry Veteran Gabrielle Kessler Further Establishes Company Leadership with Experiential Growth Across Gaming, Tech, Music, Knowledge and B2B Audiences in the US

Future plc, the global platform for specialist media and market leader in gaming, consumer tech, music and knowledge, announced the appointment of Gabrielle Kessler as the company’s Vice President of Experiential. Based in Los Angeles, Kessler will lead the expansion of Future’s experiential marketing and events programs in the US. across gaming, tech, music, knowledge and B2B. Kessler will report to Luke Edson, Chief Revenue Officer, US.

Kessler’s appointment to this new role follows Future’s acquisitions of NewBay Media and Purch’s consumer division, which solidified the company’s leadership in consumer tech, music, gaming and knowledge with top properties Tom’s Guide, TechRadar, PC Gamer, Guitar World and Space.com. To further establish Future’s leadership within the marketplace, Kessler will leverage experiential marketing to amplify brand integrations and enhance consumers’ touch points with its editorial content in an authentic and personalized way.

Kessler will be responsible for sales, creative, production and overall business growth surrounding experiential — with a focus on the company’s marquee gaming industry event, the PC Gaming Show. Brought to life by Future’s top gaming publication PC Gamer, in 2018 the show attracted over 700 live attendees, with over 4.6M video plays generating over 850,000 concurrent viewers. In 2019, as she boosts existing programs into high-growth mode, Kessler will also expand custom experiential offerings in conjunction with key gaming shows, such as BlizzCon, E3 and PAX.

“Heading into 2019, we are working across our top properties to discover the best strategies to engage with our dedicated audiences in new ways. Prior to joining Future, Kessler gained expertise at top agencies that lead the way in creating unique experiences. During her time at The Visionary Group, Kessler produced multiple high-touch activations including the 2018 PC Gaming Show. Kessler continues to push the boundaries with larger-than-life experiences that appeal to key audiences within the gaming, tech and entertainment industries. Her most notable works include CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 and Deadpool at San Diego ComicCon 2018. Her work at ComicCon 2018 landed at the top of multiple best-of-Comic-Con lists including IGN, The Los Angeles Times, BizBash and Gizmodo and won a Best Theming Shruggie Award.
