“Varun has been working on products that redefine how we work and collaborate for decades”

“Varun has been working on products that redefine how we work and collaborate for decades,” said Andrey Khusid, co-founder and CEO of Miro. “His experience at Box and Adobe, in particular, will be invaluable as we scale our platform to enable every knowledge worker to co-create the next big thing. We have aggressive goals to meet user demand and we’re thrilled to push innovation further with Varun’s leadership.”

“I have watched Miro lead the way in the online whiteboarding and visual collaboration markets since its inception in 2011. I’m thrilled to be joining a team of nearly 1,000 people around the globe who are committed to building a platform that changes the way teams work together, irrespective of their physical location. I look forward to delivering a world-class, multi-generational product to our community of users, customers, and partners.”

Prior to joining Miro, Parmar was the Chief Product Officer at Box, where he led the company’s product strategy and roadmap. During Parmar’s tenure, Box aggressively expanded into high-growth markets, accelerating ARR run rate to $800M and improving retention rates across its entire customer base of approximately 70% of Fortune 500 companies. Parmar joined Box through the acquisition of Doculus, a deep learning contracts review app, where he was the co-founder and CEO.

Parmar also served as the Chief Product Officer of EMC’s Syncplicity, a cloud service for Enterprise File Sync and Sharing (EFSS). Under Parmar’s leadership, Syncplicity grew revenues by more than 30x for SaaS subscriptions. Prior to EMC, Parmar held multiple, senior positions at Adobe and was instrumental in transitioning the $1B Acrobat product line and PDF franchise into a set of SaaS services and what is now known as the Adobe Document Cloud.

Parmar joins Miro on the heels of several major milestones in the company’s ten year history, including being honored as #36 on this year’s Forbes Cloud 100 list, a definitive ranking of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world and up from #57 in 2020, and a new strategic partnership with Google Workspace to advance the platform’s existing integrations with Google’s suite of productivity and collaboration tools. The company also partnered with Zoom to launch the Miro app for Zoom in July, offering participants in any Zoom meeting the ability to co-create using Miro’s visual collaboration platform.
