Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff to Participate in World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018

Starting Today, Mark Benioff Will Participate in Three Panel Discussions at World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018

Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, recently announced that Salesforce Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff will participate in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting taking place in Davos, Switzerland, from January 23-26, 2018. At the event, Benioff will participate in the following panel discussions:

  •  Tuesday, January 23: Benioff will participate in a panel discussion entitled “In Technology We Trust?” The session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. CET.
  • Thursday, January 25: Benioff will take part in a panel discussion entitled “Future Shocks: Rogue Technology.” The session is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m. CET.
  • Thursday, January 25: Benioff will join a press conference entitled “Friends of the Ocean.” The session is scheduled to begin 11:15 a.m. CET.

Last month, Salesforce.org, the philanthropic arm of Salesforce, had announced the general availability of Salesforce Advisor Link, a new solution that helps advisors and students better connect. The Salesforce Advisor Link gives advisors complete view of every student and creates individualized or group plans optimized for student success and higher graduation rates. Built on top of Salesforce.org’s Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA) data model, a community-driven data architecture and set of best practices designed to configure Salesforce out of the box for higher education institutions, Salesforce Advisor Link allows advisors to easily engage with students individually or in groups, and to identify and address their specific needs. Algonquin CollegeButler UniversityOregon State University, and the University of Florida are piloting Salesforce Advisor Link to transform the student-advisor relationship.

In November last year, Salesforce added new leaders of strategy and product teamsBret Taylor joined as President and Chief Product Officer, while Alex Dayon became the President and Chief Strategy Officer. Taylor’s responsibilities included driving Salesforce’s global product vision, design and development, and go-to-market strategy. On the other hand, Dayon continues to lead strategic initiatives, working closely with Salesforce’s customers on product direction and transformation. Both executives report to Benioff.
