Salesforce Decides To Acquire Spiff

Salesforce made final its decision to acquire Spiff, a leading innovative incentive compensation management (ICM) software provider. The platform by Spiff combines a powerful processing engine and a spreadsheet-like familiarity to enable scalable commission automation. Once the acquisition is completed, Spiff will integrate into Salesforce’s SalesCloud and enhance Salesforce’s sales performance management (SPM) solutions.

This collaboration will offer customers a trustworthy platform for improved visibility and commendable selling capabilities which further unlock the growth potential of their customer base.

The acquisition is expected to conclude in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025 which will be subject to customary closing conditions. Ketan Karkhanis, the EVP and GM of Salesforce – Sales Cloud says that financial executives and CROs are aware of how crucial compensation is in influencing sales representative conduct.

These executives have difficulty in accessing data amongst limited point solutions and matching these pay plans to intended results. Managing complex incentive compensation plans and understanding factors that propel revenue performance to drive top-line growth will become easier.

He further stated, “Spiff connects what sellers want – transparent compensation – with what sales leaders want – compensation planning built into CRM that aligns behaviors to strategic outcomes.”

Salesforce is looking forward to welcoming the Spiff team to the Salesforce family and this is anticipated to happen in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2025 which is subject to customary closing conditions as said earlier. The current financial guidance of Salesforce that was released on November 29, 2023, is unaffected by this acquisition and there is no further financial information released as yet.
