Alfresco Taps Former Atlassian, Skype, Microsoft, and IBM Engineering Leader Tony Grout as Chief Product Officer

Alfresco Software, a leading enterprise open source provider of process-led content management and information governance software, announced that Tony Grout has joined the company as Chief Product Officer.

“We’re looking forward to even greater things in the future with our new team members adding to the strength of our existing Alfresco team.”

Grout will bring more than 25 years’ experience to bear in his new role managing all product design and engineering operations. He will join Alfresco’s executive team and report directly to CEO Bernadette Nixon.

After successfully selling his first business Tony went on to lead successful software products for medical software, developer tools and communication and messaging products, even spending time on the Harrier Jump Jet software team.

Bernadette Nixon, Chief Executive Officer, Alfresco noted: “I am delighted that Tony has decided to join the Alfresco team. Most recently Grout served as enterprise and DevOps transformation director at Atlassian and as Chief Product Owner, DevOps Pipelines, for Lloyds Banking Group. Before that, he led agile transformation initiatives for Skype, Microsoft and IBM. All of which have led to a deep working knowledge of product management, engineering, Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD in the context of SaaS, PaaS and on premises software.
