Salesforce's The CMO Club Extends Memberships by Six Months

Here’s a piece of good news for all MarTech readers subscribed to The CMO Club. Salesforce-owned CMO Club has announced a six-month extension on their memberships. The decision was taken amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has forced a majority of the community members to stay isolated and indoors, following lockdown orders.

Salesforce is taking inspiring steps to keep employees, users, and product owners engaged through the difficult period of lockdown. For example, earlier this week, Marc Benioff invited applications from the tech community to fill 2,200 open positions. The Chairman of the world’s largest CRM maker also informed about the “Salesforce 90-day No Lay-Off Pledge”.

In a recent tweet, Benioff also wrote about short-term and long-term measures taken to ensure people stay isolated, and still remain engaged working from home.

Marc tweeted, “We are in an economic & biological crisis. All of us have a role to play in reducing the terrible suffering that has been unleashed by this virus (COVID-19)– staying home, taking the 90-day no lay off pledge, or buying PPE for the hospitals & 1st responders.”

Salesforce acquired The CMO Club earlier this year in a unique deal that now further bolsters the SaaS-powered automated Salesforce economy.

CMO Club’s letter read, “Effective April 1, 2020, all current CMO Club Members will have their membership extended 6 months, at no additional cost. We will also give new members that join in April an additional 6 months of membership.”

Jon Suarez-Davis (jsd), SVP, Marketing Strategy & Innovation of Salesforce and Pete Krainik, Head of Global Engagement- The CMO Club, said —
“We hope this allows you to take advantage of additional Virtual Roundtables, podcasts, the members-only mobile app, as well as the Club’s other resources, so you’re prepared to pick up where we left off with Chapter Dinners, Summits, and CMO ClubHouses post COVID-19 crisis.

More than ever, we are committed to the success and wellbeing of the Club.”

Yesterday, Salesforce had organized an online event with Shark Tank judge and Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban. In the live event “Stories Of Resilience: A Conversation With Mark Cuban”, Mark Cuban advised small business leaders on how they should navigate challenging times. Salesforce SVP of SMB Marketing, Marie Rosecrans hosts the show.
