eCommerce Funding and Payments Leader Payability Hires VP of Growth Marketing

Payability, the leading funding and payments platform for eCommerce sellers, announced that marketing leader and demand generation strategist Deidre Hudson will join the company as Vice President of Growth Marketing. In this newly created role, Ms. Hudson will drive new customer acquisition and expand the Payability brand. She will report to CEO Keith Smith.

Ms. Hudson is a veteran marketer. She has over 20 years of experience bringing holistic marketing strategies to life, working with some of the best-known global brands including Gartner, Tata Consultancy, Wolters Kluwer, Broadridge, 1010data, RCN and GrubHub. She most recently led the marketing team at U.K.-based jobs board technology company Madgex.

While at Broadridge Financial Solutions, Ms. Hudson launched the company’s data driven marketing approach which gave rise to corporate benchmarks to measure and drive departmental improvements. At 1010data, she created a demand generation infrastructure, which led to explosive growth for the firm.

Ms. Hudson also has spent nearly a decade serving in the nonprofit space working for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the leading organization seeking justice and fair treatment for all people. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing and Consumer Behavior Degree from the City University of New York – Baruch College and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree from California Southern University.

Payability is growing rapidly, with a new product launch in the pipeline. Hudson’s hire this month comes only weeks after the addition of two new board members; well known tech entrepreneur and investor Andy Sack and angel investor Dr. Ellen Levy. The company has offices in New York and Poland with more than 90 employees who are helping to create the next generation of eCommerce financial tools for small business owners. The company has provided more than $4 billion in capital to ecommerce sellers since inception, with $1.4 billion of that coming in 2020. Payability is profitable, with revenues jumping 40 percent in 2020 from the year prior and are on track for similar growth in 2021.
