“We are very excited to have Collin join the Pindrop family and can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together.”

Davis joins Pindrop from Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he was a general manager for Productivity Apps, leading three AWS services, including Chime, WorkMail, and WorkDocs. Prior to that, he founded and launched Alexa for Business to help customers voice-enable their conference rooms, lobbies, hospital rooms, hotel rooms, and warehouses. Before AWS, he was vice president of endpoint protection at Symantec, where he led the engineering and QA teams that built the suite of Norton security products.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with innovative companies in both the voice and security sectors; I’m thrilled to put that experience together as Pindrop’s CTO,” said Davis. “Voice technology is still early, and we’re just starting to see how it will change the way humans interact with computers and other technologies. Pindrop is at an exciting stage of its growth having established itself as the industry leader in voice security, authentication, and verification. I’m excited to join the leadership team and continue the organization’s evolution.”

The news comes following Pindrop’s recent acquisition of Next Caller, as well as the launch of both a new IVR solution that extends its fraud monitoring and detection capabilities for enterprises, and the availability of its state-of-the-art voice authentication technology for use in OTT streaming devices, platforms, and consumer services.

“With Collin’s relevant voice and security background, plus his clear focus as a high-energy technology leader for large, dynamic organizations, he will play a critical role in Pindrop’s next evolution. Collin will execute our technical vision and grow Pindrop’s product capabilities across new industries to ensure we not only better secure the voice channel, but find new ways to use our technology to solve customer problems,” said Vijay Balasubramaniyan, CEO and co-founder of Pindrop. “We are very excited to have Collin join the Pindrop family and can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together.”
