Entri Announces Seed Funding and Emerges from Beta: Solving the Decades-Old Problem of Configuring DNS | Business Wire

Entri, announced  it closed its seed financing round from JARS Capital and that it is coming out of beta to general availability to the public.

Software companies across a variety of sectors such as website builders, support desks, email service providers, sales tools, and among others use Entri to simplify custom domain setup for their users.

Anyone who has experienced basic website configuration knows DNS record configuration is anything but intuitive, even for more experienced users.

“Users just don’t understand how DNS works. Sometimes, for instance when they go on a DNS manager, they’ll do support.acme.com.acme.com and repeat the domain. We needed a system like Entri so users could automatically set up their DNS and not have to contact our customer support for that.”

Inevitably, this leads to a frustrating back and forth with support teams, who leverage a static knowledge base article that results in an exhausting onboarding experience.

This cumbersome process kills countless customer conversions and occupies hundreds of hours of a support team’s bandwidth.

Now, thanks to Entri, manual DNS configuration is a thing of the past.

Automating DNS record setup

With Entri integrated into a product, users have access to one-click DNS setup. Those users simply click a button to launch the Entri modal.

Entri then automatically detects the users DNS provider and prompts the user to login. After logging in, Entri automatically configures the correct settings for their domain. With support for all the major DNS providers, the vast majority of users will never need to manually configure their DNS.

For users, Entri is a game-changer because it eliminates a key friction point and results in immediate product adoption, and dramatically reduced support tickets.

But for businesses, the value proposition is even more powerful: Entri means the end of the clumsy back and forth between content managers and technical gatekeepers. Organizations are able to speed through their own platform setup without involving other teams, and the back and forth of managing DNS record setup becomes a thing of the past.

According to Baptiste Jamin, Co-founder and CEO of Crisp, an Entri customer:
“Users just don’t understand how DNS works. Sometimes, for instance when they go on a DNS manager, they’ll do support.acme.com.acme.com and repeat the domain. We needed a system like Entri so users could automatically set up their DNS and not have to contact our customer support for that.”
