Instamojo, a product for small businesses to adopt online commerce, announced its partnership with Platform for Artists (PFA), an online portal for upcoming artists to showcase their work. As part of the partnership, Instamojo will offer access to its digital products and solutions for all merchants who are part of UNSEEN 4.0, an online flea market organized by PFA. All participating merchants own small home-grown businesses which offer handmade and curated artwork and gift items. Merchants will have access to digital tools, which will enable the online expansion of their business in India, and internationally.

The recent times have brought to the forefront new business challenges, with digitization being the immediate solution for business continuity. Sharing his thoughts on this partnership, Akash Gehani, COO, Co-founder Instamojo said, “Business owners today are identifying unique methods via online platforms and social media to reach out to their customer base, and push for sales. In fact, the absence of digital presence proved costly for several business owners across sectors. With a rapidly evolving ecosystem, coupled with changing consumer needs and behavior, businesses today are in need of a strong support system to help grow and flourish.  Through our partnership with Platform for Artists, we aim to enable the digital and financial independence of micro-businesses and entrepreneurs through our host of products and solutions.”

The online flea market, UNSEEN 4.0, is hosting artists from across the country offering a wide range of products from handcrafted jewellery, resin art, curated gifts and home décor to name a few. Pawan Rochwani, Founder, Platform for Artists said, “We really want to help the artists during this pandemic but not by creating a crowdfunding campaign or starting a charity but by bringing in real money in their pocket by supporting their small business. And for our upcoming online flea market, we have partnered with Instamojo so that all these artists can have an online store and take their products global.”

In recent months, Instamojo introduced easy ways of going digital through their ‘Priority KYC’, ‘Sachet loans on Whatsapp’ and ‘InstaCash’ features which enabled merchants to go online and get instant access to loans. During the pandemic, Instamojo recorded a 30% rise in their merchant-base, thus marking the start of a digital revolution in the sector.
