“Security has been an integral part of Exasol’s approach since the company’s founding. We are very proud that the work we’ve always put into making sure we keep our customers’ data safe is now formally certified,” said Aaron Auld, CEO of Exasol. “Gaining the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001 certification was a natural step in our continuous commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions for our customers.”

ISO/IEC 27001, an information security management system standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), details requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS). Achieving this certification confirms that Exasol’s processes for monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving information security is compliant with the most rigorous requirements.

The audit was conducted by TUV Rheinland, one of the world’s leading auditing service providers. It included more than 100 requirements for a comprehensive ISMS, including the physical security of facilities, software product security, financial information handling, HR processes and personnel, and the company’s management’s commitment to security work.
