VUniverse App: Channel Guide for the Streaming Universe Now Available for Early Access

Platform makes recommendations for viewers based on their personal tastes, providing suggestions for content available on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO and more

VUniverse, a personalized movie and show recommendation platform that enables users to browse their streaming services in one app, released early access to its streaming service companion, simplifying the way viewers find content from popular services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO, and AppleTV+. Designed as a platform-agnostic complement to streaming services, VUniverse delivers a seamless experience connecting users to programming quickly, versus relying on individual streaming outlet suggestions–an increasingly time consuming, tedious process. VUniverse aggregates content available across multiple streaming services and cross-references it with individual preferences to provide spot-on recommendations, using a unique combination of proprietary algorithms, AI and human curation.

“VUniverse is here to help viewers find the right movies and shows among the thousands of titles that are available to them,” says CEO and co-founder Evelyn Watters. “VUniverse makes it easy and fun to find what to watch and where to find it, fast.”

In addition to movie and show discovery, VUniverse includes a full-featured platform with watchlist creation, personal watch history and more. Additional discovery tools and social features will be available later this year, which will allow users to create their own movie and show categories to share within the community, as well as with friends and family.

“We created VUniverse because we were tired of hunting through endless titles of movie suggestions and toggling between services,” added COO and co-founder Monica Brady. “There is so much amazing content out there that finding what to watch shouldn’t be a chore. VUniverse simplifies that experience by empowering users to save time and realize the full value of subscription fees. Spending more time at home and streaming more than ever, people are looking for new content to be entertained and inspired by–VUniverse is the app to help them do that.”

The beta version is now available as a desktop and mobile web-app, as well as iOS and Android mobile platforms, and Android TV. The platform will also expand to streaming hardware platforms such as Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.
