WeQ Announces New Managing Director to Focus on Mobile Advertising Product Innovation

Sven Lubek, a Seasoned Mobile Expert and Serial Entrepreneur Who Founded 25 Companies, Including the Leading German DMP Adex, Joins WeQ to Lead the Company into Its Next Growth Phase

WeQ, a leading global mobile ad tech organization, announced the appointment of seasoned digital marketing expert and tech-driven entrepreneur Sven Lubek as Managing Director. Lubek will shift from WeQ Chairman to active Director, focusing on mobile ad technology innovation and new product development, as well as driving the continued commercial success for WeQ.

Lubek is a serial entrepreneur, having founded over 25 companies — including WeQ, Browsergames, AdEx, Onlineversicherung.de — across 15 different industries, with many of his firms achieving exceedingly high profits. He has acquired over 20 years of experience in building and leading high-performance digital and mobile marketing companies, and has also secured partnerships with over 20 different associates who cooperated or helped finance a range of ventures, including ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, Axel Springer and Burda.

He developed one of the largest German internet domain portfolios and digital marketplaces, which led to a number of successful exits. One of his enterprises BrowserGames.de, was acquired by the European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, and three of his other ventures were also funded by the media giant. In addition, he co-founded AdEx, the leading data management platform in Germany.

Recently, WeQ has secured more than 50 million USD in internal funds and debt capital to accelerate an ambitious global growth path, followed by a rapid expansion into high growth markets in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. As the next step, Malti will continue developing strategic partnerships and undertaking aggressive M&A activities, while Lubek will step into an operational role that focuses on shaping the strategies and processes revolving around company growth.
