Bancard Offers Payments in Local Currency for Amazon Prime Video Customers in Paraguay

Amazon Prime Video is now available to Paraguayan customers with monthly memberships that can be paid in Guaranies through Bancard

Bancard announced that they have enabled payment with cards in local currency for all Paraguayan customers who subscribe to Amazon Prime Video. Amazon Prime Video offers an extensive catalog of original series, films, documentaries and, children’s content with both subtitles and dubbing in Spanish.

Local customers with a Prime Video subscription will now be able to pay in Guaranies through credit or debit cards issued by certified local financial institutions, such as (all) Bancard cards, with no currency fluctuations.

Amazon Prime Video offers payments with cards in local currency through dLocal, an award-winning financial technology company specialized in payments for emerging markets.

“Our goal is to further enhance the experience of Amazon Prime Video customers by offering payment with cards in local currency focused on the consumer and their payment preferences, thus growing our presence in Paraguay, and other countries, in the future,” said Michel Golffed, VP Growth of dLocal.

Any fintech company connecting to Bancard has to fulfill high-security standards, which is one of the requirements to connect to the secure and traceable payment gateway.
