MomentFeed Names Avik Dey as Senior Vice President of Engineering

Dey’s Deep Enterprise Experience at Intel, Yahoo! and eBay Will Help Enhance and Fortify MomentFeed’s Mobile Consumer Experience Platform

MomentFeed, the leader in mobile consumer experience management for multi-location brands, announced that Avik Dey has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Dey brings more than two decades of software engineering expertise, leading Big Data, Data Science and microservices implementations at some of the largest enterprise technology companies, including, Intel Corporation, Yahoo! and eBay.

Dey will tap into those experiences to extend MomentFeed’s Mobile Consumer Experience (MCX) management platform to further leverage data across the most-used mobile networks, applications and services to help MomentFeed’s multi-location brands integrate all different digital channels to more strategically reach and engage with mobile consumers.

One of Dey’s main focus areas is to streamline the company’s software infrastructure and integrations with a focus on data enrichment augmented with Data Science and use of microservices to evolve the platform and application architecture. The goal is to enable MomentFeed’s clients to leverage proven mobile engagement successes across the company’s client base as a whole, benefitting from best practices based on future trends, behaviors and buying experiences to create smarter workflows.

Most recently, Dey was Executive Vice President, Technology at Marin Software, where he spearheaded the transition of multiple monolithic SAAS apps to a microservices-based stack architecture. Previously, Dey served as Worldwide Director, Big Data Product/Apache Engineering at Intel Corporation, building and overseeing a team of 75 architects, engineers and leaders across the US, China and India. At Yahoo!, he was Lead Product/Program Manager, playing a pivotal role as part of the leadership team that owned the strategy, roadmap and execution for Apache Hadoop as a service. In addition, Dey held the role of Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Computing at eBay, managing the execution and delivery of an industry leading in-house Cloud software incubation.
