Clara Smyth, ex-Slack and Salesforce, to lead Competitive Enablement Services

Klue, the category leader in competitive enablement, announced the hiring of industry veteran, Clara Smyth, as the newly appointed Director of Competitive Enablement Services. With the recent acquisition of DoubleCheck Research, a win-loss analysis service, and with Klue having secured $62M Series B funding in late 2021, the hire is a signal of Klue’s continued leadership and success in the competitive enablement space.

In this newly created position, Smyth will lead Klue’s customers to better understand their competitive landscape and make stronger decisions about their go-to-market strategies. With over a decade of extensive experience ranging from leading sophisticated, programmatic compete teams to being the scrappy one-woman-shop, Smyth has built some of the most successful compete programs for the world’s most reputable tech companies such as Slack, Salesforce, iCIMS, and Oracle NetSuite.

“I’m so thrilled to join Klue to accelerate our customers’ competitive strategies and successes as the Director of Competitive Enablement Services, a dream role in an increasingly game-changing space,” says Smyth. “This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to not only make an immediate impact, but to become a true partner with our customers to unlock what best-in-class competitive enablement looks like.”

Smyth’s hire represents another milestone in Klue’s growth. She is joining Klue at an inflection point for the company and the competitive enablement industry. As deals are becoming more competitive, landscapes more crowded, and competitive intel needed now more than ever, Smyth will lead Klue’s customers in accelerating their successes in competitive enablement internally, and strategically and tactically against their external competition.

“Bringing someone like Clara onboard, with her ten-plus years of experience running compete programs at successful tech companies, is a huge addition for Klue — and for our customers,” said Klue CEO and Co-Founder Jason Smith. “An anchoring point of any compete program is moving the needle on revenue enablement and elevating that to executives to make lasting, strategic change. Clara is one of the best in the industry and now she gets to partner with our customers to help them build, scale and push their own programs to the next-level.”
