Transplace Selects Karen Sage as Chief Marketing Officer

Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, announced the appointment of Karen Sage as the company’s chief marketing officer (CMO). Sage will lead the sales operations, corporate communications, and all marketing strategies and functions. She will be based out of the company’s Frisco, Texas headquarters and will report directly to CEO Frank McGuigan.

Sage brings more than two decades of global marketing, sales operations, product management and product marketing experience at companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500. Sage is known for accelerating revenue growth, building leadership brands and establishing strong marketing organizations globally. She comes to Transplace most recently from transportation management solutions (TMS) provider MercuryGate International, where she served as chief marketing officer. Prior to MercuryGate, she was the CMO at spend management solution provider SciQuest. She also had many leadership positions at CA Technologies and Cisco Systems, Inc.
