Hi Leah, tell us about the role and team you handle at monday.com.

I am the Head of Communications at monday.com, a work OS where teams create and shape workflow apps in minutes to plan, run, and track their processes, projects, and operations. One of the most amazing things about working at monday is that it’s a truly collaborative environment where irrespective of your role, you can get involved in just about anything you want to. All of our company data is available for everyone to see and be empowered to jump into any process with input.

Our team is focused on every kind of communication effort ranging from internal, external, branding, out-of-home, data storytelling, content, product announcements, thought leadership, and beyond. On a daily basis, we’re working with developers, designers, account managers, marketing gurus, and product people— and everyone else in between!

monday.com dashboards showcase an erudite mix of Automation, Data Visualization, and Cloud Communications. What is your favorite feature on Monday.com that you want every customer/prospect to know about?

That’s a really tough question– too many to choose from. We’re about to formally launch monday Apps though, and that just may be my favorite right now. It has massive potential to totally revolutionize the platform.

With monday Apps, the monday.com platform is now entirely open for developers to build whatever they need on top of the platform – for use by their own organization or commercial use by others. Developers have infinite possibilities to create and package custom widgets, workflows, integrations, and apps, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with!

We have seen significant growth in Open Source DevOps projects. How do you prepare a Product Development roadmap in such a serious cut-throat market competition?

Our product roadmap is created based on the evolving needs of our users. We have all kinds of direct channels of communications to them and as we understand the sorts of features they need and why we prioritize their development. We have all kinds of features coming out nearly every week!

You recently announced integration with Zoom. Tell us how your customers would jointly benefit from Monday-Zoom integration?

We added the Zoom integration to better support remote collaboration and communication as people are relying on video chats as they WFH. You can make a Zoom call directly from the platform and the integration imports all data from the Zoom call directly into the monday.com platform; in addition to a feature that allows users to define their work status, so teams know if they’re in the office or working remotely, and how to reach them.

What is the technology driving the integration?

Our Zoom app was built on the monday Apps framework, along with 20 other WFH apps. It is one of the many features that our users can add to their core board structure. The monday work OS consists of an ever-growing list of work blocks, unique platform features that teams can use to easily build custom workflow apps, code-free.

The expansive modular blocks allow for infinite opportunities to customize workflows and empower teams to focus on the work that maximizes impact while creating an open flow of information to and from other tools already in use. The new Zoom integration is one of the first demonstrations of monday.com’s recent launch that allows users to build these custom workflow apps.

Teams and organizations of all sizes use monday.com. However, the Marketing and Sales teams always make a mark with their demands. Do you seek feedback from these teams?

Absolutely! We constantly are seeking feedback across all teams to continue to expand monday.com for customers. We always say that while we don’t know how to run your team, we provide you with the building blocks to create whatever workflow you need.

Which functions/departments have shown the highest adoption rate for Monday.com? Why and how did you measure the adoption?

We measure just about every metric you can imagine through our internal business intelligence tool, BigBrain. When it comes to adoption though, we see a fairly even distribution of our platform across over 200 business verticals. From Construction to Marketing, VC deal flow to assembly lines, media conglomerates, and the Fortune 500, the monday.com Work OS can be customized to any team. monday has a super strong no code/low code component also, so you can build any workflow that suits you. Our target market as the 1.5 billion information workers around the world– we’re just getting started 🙂
