A lifelong technologist with a track record of high achievement, 2020 was a milestone year for Sundaresan. He accelerated the company’s record-breaking growth and emergence as a leader in digital business enablement for some of the world’s most important brands.

“I am humbled to be recognized as Executive of the Year by Big Awards for Business,” says Sundaresan. “I share this award with all of the company’s employees who work diligently to serve our clients.”

Sundaresan started last year as Altimetrik’s COO, a role in which he positioned the company for annual double-digit revenue growth, an expanded global footprint, and a rapid increase of its headcount since joining the company in 2017. He spearheaded the company’s COVID-19 plan on multiple fronts, converting the company to 100% WFH in three weeks without disruption to clients and guiding the company’s charitable giving to local COVID-19 initiatives in the U.S. and India. Sundaresan was promoted to CEO in July 2020, taking the reins from company founder and industry visionary Raj Vattikuti, who took on the role of Executive Chairman.

Sundaresan increased Altimetrik’s momentum since taking over as CEO, including 29% year-over-year growth in 2020 and 48% growth year to date in 2021. The company is poised to grow its headcount in the coming year and expand its client base even further.

“Since joining Altimetrik, Raj has built a strong operating and results oriented culture, taking the company to new heights,” says Vattikuti. “His blend of technology and business experience cultivate a practitioner mindset and an agile engineering approach that delivers client outcomes quickly.”

Sundaresan also led the creation of Altimetrik’s Innovation Platform, an important hub of collaboration, innovation, and idea sharing. It enables continuous learning and training for employees to improve their skills and collaborate on a global scale. He played an instrumental role in raising Altimetrik’s engineering rigor and built a strong team of engineering leaders. In addition, he championed the Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) philosophy as a core element of the company’s DNA.

“We are so proud to reward Altimetrik’s Raj Sundaresan for his outstanding leadership and achievements,” said Maria Jimenez, chief nomination officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “This year’s group of winners are clearly leading by example in the global business community.”
