Julie Parrish, Chief Marketing Officer at Corelight, and Stephen Singh, experienced Global Vice President of ITO Strategy, Planning and Implementation, join Panzura’s board of directors

Panzura LLC, the leader in hybrid multi-cloud data management, appointed two new members to its board of directors. Julie Parrish, chief marketing officer at Corelight, and Stephen Singh, experienced global vice president of M&A, ITO Strategy, Planning and Implementation, both now lend their experience as independent directors.

The news comes following a record turnaround for the company since its refounding in 2020. The business has launched several new products and achieved a 200% lift in annual recurring revenue during this time. The company netted a growth rate of 4x compared to competitors and posted a customer retention rate of 97%.

The board of directors at Panzura, led by a female CEO, now has three female and four male directors, furthering its proactive gender equality initiatives.

Julie Parrish, a Silicon Valley veteran, brings 30 years of experience across small, medium, and F500 companies in networking, storage, security, and cloud technology segments to the Panzura boardroom. Julie is a strategic leader with a data-driven mindset and track record of transforming business operations to improve results.

On joining Panzura’s board of directors, Julie commented, “I am thrilled to be part of the Panzura team. The company is solving a ‘right here, right now’ problem for customers by giving them the tools to manage data across countless clouds and data centers – but it’s doing so in a way that makes sense from a security, cost, and ease-of-use perspective.”

Referring to Jill Stelfox, Panzura’s CEO, she said, “Jill is clearly an agent of change and innovation within the business. Together with her partners, she’s sparked new ideas about how to approach secure data management in a more streamlined and holistic way.”

Stephen Singh, a Global Vice President of M&A, Divestitures, Private Equity and ITO at a leading cloud security company, also joins Panzura’s board of directors. Stephen brings nearly three decades of experience to the board. During this time, he has run global enterprise IT and cybersecurity initiatives for Fortune 100 financial firms, worked with industry-leading providers of solutions around cloud security and infrastructure, and spent over a decade in management, consulting, and problem-solving. He is a thought leader, influencer, and change agent that delivers results by honing in on client experiences and value-driven outcomes.

Stephen said of his appointment, “I’ve worked with multiple clients over the years who have been impacted by ransomware, and I realized they lack insights into risk and resilience. What sets Panzura apart is that they aren’t focused on protecting the desktop, the server, the switch, or the router – they’re focused on protecting the data. Data storage will become increasingly decentralized and disaggregated, but that doesn’t mean the management of that data can’t be securely streamlined.”

Jill Stelfox, Panzura refounder and CEO, added, “We are on a mission to change this industry. As the only female CEO in data management, I knew we needed a highly competitive and equally valued team. To make that real, we equalized pay for men and women and recruited, what I call, business athletes who love to compete, leading to 200% growth since our refounding. Adding Julie and Stephen accomplishes my goal of an equitable and balanced board of human-focused leaders who share our vision of change.”

Panzura has earned seven industry awards over the past year, including “Cloud Infrastructure Solution of the Year” by the Tech Ascension Awards, and “Best Hybrid Cloud Solution” in the Cloud Awards. Panzura was also ranked among the “100 Coolest Cloud Companies” in the CRN Channel Awards 2021 and “Inc. Best Workplaces.” Above-market growth has allowed Panzura to continue hiring the industry’s best talent. The company is on target to add another 150 team members by the end of 2022 with opportunities in engineering, marketing, HR, finance, and sales.
