TextUs Secures Series B Funding to Fuel Growth of Its Leading Business Texting and Real-Time Communication Software Platform

The Boulder-Based Business Texting Platform Will Use the Capital for Strategic Investment in Product Expansion, Team Development, and Customer Satisfaction.

TextUs, the fastest-growing business-class text messaging software in the nation, announced the initial close of its Series B Funding. All major investors participated, and the new equity plus expanded debt facility gives the company $5MM of additional capital to grow the business. TextUs, which serves over 75,000 professionals and sends tens of millions of text messages every month, will invest the capital in expanding its voice and text products, further cementing its market leadership in the staffing sector, and growing its team.

In today’s on-demand economy, it’s more important  and more difficult than ever to get ahold of customers and clients. Though contacts are always “on,” they’re also inundated with emails and voicemails, making it difficult for businesses to get their attention. TextUs helps their clients cut through the noise with business-class text messaging, cloud voice service, click-to-call, and enterprise-level analytics.

In discussing the key to the Staffmark Group’s success, Forrest Wagner, CIO of the global commercial staffing giant, said, “It helps to have a few tools that, undoubtedly, have improved the business. Take the TextUs platform that allows recruiters to use landline phone numbers for text messaging. It is an instance where tech boosts productivity and retention of Staffmark’s workforce in seemingly intangible ways.”

“TextUs allows us to give great customer service,” said Seth Fullerton, Loyal Source’s Director of IT. “When we saw our outbound to inbound call ratio jump to 8:1 or 10:2, we knew we needed to up our communication game. Since we implemented TextUs, we now enjoy a much higher rate of response from our candidates, which has really helped improve our placement performance. After all, if you’re not growing, you’re going.”

TextUs has experienced rapid growth since it launched in 2013. In 2018, it was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list. Last year, it unveiled its real-time communication platform, TextUs Next. TextUs Next allows customers to turn personalized text messaging campaigns into 1:1 conversations, manage multiple conversations from a single inbox, and schedule text messages for just the right time, all while integrating voice and texting outreach in a single dashboard tied directly to their ATS or CRM.

“This is an exciting phase for TextUs,” said Ted Guggenheim, TextUs CEO. “This Series B funding allows us to continue our mission to help businesses connect with people more easily, build relationships more authentically, and close faster.”
