AppDirect®, the leading subscription commerce platform company, today announced the appointment of Adam Christensen as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Christensen is the most recent addition to the company’s leadership bench, following CFO John Cooley and CIO Pierre-Luc Bisaillon earlier this year, an indicator of AppDirect’s continued strong growth and momentum.
Christensen has over two decades of experience leading marketing and communications at some of the world’s foremost technology companies, including PayPal, IBM and Juniper. In his new role, Christensen will lead the marketing organization, which is responsible for accelerating revenue growth for AppDirect and AppSmart® through strategic marketing initiatives, and for elevating the corporate brand through cutting-edge brand marketing and communications.

“AppDirect’s subscription commerce platform offers limitless opportunities for growth and transformation in the digital economy,” Christensen said. “I’m delighted to focus my efforts on generating new brand awareness that will expand the accessibility of this critical business technology at such a pivotal time in our world.”
With deep experience managing multiple brands in the technology space, Christensen joins AppDirect from Ingram Micro where he served as Vice President, Global Head of Marketing, Brand and Communications and built a global cloud channel marketing function. Before Ingram, Christensen led integrated marketing communications at PayPal where he oversaw the initiative to spin off from eBay, as well as the company’s IPO. Earlier in his career, Adam also held senior communications positions at Juniper Networks and IBM. Adam received his Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University.
“Adam has proven that he has what it takes to harness the power of marketing to drive fast growth at world-class technology companies,” said Daniel Saks, co-founder and co-CEO of AppDirect. “Adam’s innovative thinking and marketing expertise will be critical as we continue to expand and help companies access the technology they need to thrive in the digital economy.”
