Merkle Appoints Erin Hutchinson as Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company, announced the appointment of Erin Hutchinson to Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. In this role, Hutchinson will focus on driving growth for dentsu’s Customer Experience Management (CXM) service line through the alignment of regional marketing and communications teams.

A 19-year Merkle veteran, Hutchinson has held various marketing leadership roles within the organization, most recently CMO of Merkle Americas. She has led the coordination and integration of more than 20 acquisitions over the years, expanding the corporate marketing department and spearheading the development of marketing best practices worldwide. Hutchinson is a graduate of Brock University in Canada and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business Leadership and Negotiation Academy.

A global collaborator, Hutchinson has spent her career building marketing teams and functions that drive growth and increase brand awareness. With a focus on events, public relations, analyst relations, communications, customer experience, as well as consumer and business research, her marketing efforts include developing brand marketing strategies that create better user experiences, extend marketing thought leadership across media and channel, drive awareness, and ultimately connect consumers with a brand.

Hutchinson’s teams have earned multiple industry awards for creativity, innovation, and results, and she has received individual recognition from Direct Marketing News, being named to its Hall of Femme, by PRNews as a Top Woman in PR, and by the American Business “Stevie” Awards in the Marketing Executive of the Year category.
