Costello Announces Google Chrome Extension Designed for Outbound SDR Teams

The Extension Enables Costello’s Sales Playbooks to Be Embedded Directly into SDR Workflows; Its Intuitive Design Is Optimized for the Unique Needs of Outbound Teams

Costello, a sales playbook software company that helps sales professionals consistently have great conversations, announced an integration with Google, allowing SDRs to use Costello via a Chrome Extension.

By observing its users on sales calls, Costello found that while account executives were comfortable using the full desktop version, many SDRs wanted a tighter integration with sales engagement tools. They needed the ability to view all sales playbook content on a single screen alongside other pertinent information about their prospects.

Costello created the Chrome Extension based on these insights to address two key SDR needs:

Smaller Footprint: The extension’s smaller on-screen footprint allows SDRs to have it open inside their sales engagement tool or CRM. As a result, it’s embedded in their workflow and allows them to work from a smaller screen.

Integrated Workflow: Similar to the desktop version, the Chrome Extension provides reps with playbooks that include key questions, talk tracks, and other valuable resources such as objection responses, customer stories, and value props. After a call concludes, reps can push notes to the CRM, send a call summary to Slack, and even create a sales opportunity — all from the push of a button.

“Given the specific needs of SDRs, it became clear that we needed to create a more tailored experience for them,” explained Rod Feuer, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Costello. “This smaller footprint allows SDRs to use Costello directly in their sales engagement tools so that they can focus on the most important part of their jobs: consistently having great conversations with buyers using Costello as their co-pilot.”
