Avtex Acquires CPI Assets

Avtex, a customer experience (CX) consulting and technology company, announced the acquisition of assets of Communications Products, Inc. (CPI), an Indiana-based provider of contact center and communication solutions. Specifically, Avtex has entered into agreement to purchase CPI’s portfolio of Genesys customers.

CPI has been successfully implementing and integrating advanced, mission-critical interaction and data analytics solutions for over three decades. As a long-term partner of Genesys, the global leader in cloud customer experience and contact center solutions, CPI leverages the Genesys platform and eMite portfolio to create customized contact center solutions that meet the unique needs of each and every client.

“The acquisition of CPI’s contact center business provides Avtex with expanded technical talent, geographic reach and progressive client base. CPI, along with Avtex, was one of the original partners of Genesys in 1997; they have a 12-year average tenure around the platform,” said George Demou, CEO of Avtex. “Now more than ever, customer experience hubs, AI-enabled data analytics and single customer golden record are critical for organizations. Avtex will continue to be aggressive to expand our capabilities around these solutions, even during these market conditions for the benefit of our clients.”

The acquisition furthers the unified mission of providing and delivering industry-leading contact center consulting, data management and technology services to clients. It also enables Avtex to continue to provide customers with high levels of service and support while evangelizing Genesys and Microsoft technology solutions.

“Since 1983, we have worked exceptionally hard to build a team of contact center experts who are passionate about helping our customers reimagine how they interact with their customers,” said Cliff Arellano, CEO and Founder of CPI. “We couldn’t be more thrilled that our contact center practice is joining Avtex. We believe this strategic combination will broaden and deepen the customer experience outcomes we are so passionate about delivering.”

Bringing this portion of the CPI business into the Avtex family allows both organizations to continue to help businesses drive better customer experiences through strategic planning and the innovative use of technology solutions. CPI customers will benefit from an expanded portfolio of CX innovation, customer insights and technical expertise available through Avtex. This includes full CX technologies and services like CRM and digital engagement tools, plus full application development support and managed services.
